Admissions to ACTS
Thank you for your interest in ACTS! We appreciate the opportunity to be considered a potential partner in your family's homeschooling journey.
1. Application
Please submit the following:
-
A completed Application for Admission (found on the ACTS website)
-
Non-refundable assessment fee of $75 per student (max $200 per family)
-
The $150 Registration Fee is waived through January 31st.
-
All one-time fees can be paid using the CCB link available on the ACTS website.
-
Registration for new families opens on January 2.
2. Student Assessment
Each prospective student will be assessed to determine the most appropriate placement for their success in the ACTS program.
3. Parent Interview
Following the assessment, an interview will be scheduled with the parents of a prospective student(s), Board member(s) and other ACTS families. The interview is typically scheduled soon after the application is received and the assessment has been completed.
4. Admission Decision
The registrar will notify parents of the admission decision based on the application, student assessment, and interview.
5. Family Decision and Commitment
After the Parent Interview, families will receive a welcome letter, a Promissory Note, an Enrollment Agreement (collectively referred to as "The Signature Packet"), and details about their FACTS account. Parents will have two weeks to confirm their decision. A student’s enrollment will be finalized and their place secured on the roster once the completed Signature Packet is submitted and their FACTS account is set up.
6. Remedial Assessment (if applicable)
Students recommended to complete preparatory work may be re-assessed in late spring or summer to evaluate their progress.
7. Welcome to ACTS!
The administrator will email the family essential information, including the academic calendar, book and supply lists, Google Classroom instructions, and more. Additionally, a Buddy Family will be assigned to assist with the transition.
